The educational component can demonstrate seed saving techniques internationally by providing video or DVD's to communities where people are illiterate, written curriculum for students, teacher training, and streaming education via the Internet.

Heirloom seeds can be exchanged by requests to the regional Seed Arks providing an economic development project.
